Finance Officer

Role Summary

To be a member of the Finance team and to contribute to the timely, efficient, and accurate recording of financial transaction. To assist with data analysis and compilation of financial reports, as well as workload management. Enthusiasm and an eagerness to learn will be a distinct advantage

Specific Responsibilities

  • Maintaining occupancy records, keeping Sales tracker up to date and ensuring all stays are invoiced correctly.
  • Raising Sales invoices, reconciliation of the Sales ledger.
  • Credit Control.
  • Ensuring all Sales and Credit Control issues are reported in a timely manner.
  • Preparing for and attending weekly Sales meetings.
  • Liaising with Solicitors and Case managers in a professional manner.
  • Dealing with email in the Finance inbox.
  • Other ad hoc responsibilities within the team.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Demonstrable experience in Microsoft Office packages particularly Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent organisational skills, introducing key ways of working, establishing Standard Operating Procedures and maintaining detailed electronic records
  • Excellent skills in using Microsoft excel
  • The ability to look at processes and find improvements.
  • Confident and professional phone manner.
  • Experience working in a busy team and working collaboratively and to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communicator both written and verbal demonstrate excellent listening skills.
  • Able to form key working relationships with colleagues, understand the dynamics of team working
  • Ability to work as a team with a can do attitude. Someone who is happy to pitch in where needed.

Desirable

  • Demonstrable experience in Xero accounting system
