The recognition comes as a result of the exceptional work carried out through their pioneering Amputee Rehabilitation Programme, developed in close partnership with STEPS Prosthetics. This innovative residential programme sets a new benchmark in rehabilitation care, combining advanced prosthetic technology with STEPS Rehabilitation’s holistic, client-centred approach.
STEPS Rehabilitation provides comprehensive post-operative care and specialised nursing packages, with a focus on early admission to ensure clients receive expert care immediately upon discharge from hospital. Led by Dr Rohit Bhide, Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine, clients benefit from expert wound care, effective pain management, and intensive, interdisciplinary rehabilitation programmes. This early admission approach is crucial to optimising recovery outcomes.
