I’m Nala Murphy, I’m a 4-year-old Hungarian Vizsla. My pawrent is Sian Jones, Senior Physiotherapist at STEPS.

At Work:

I’ve been coming to STEPS since I was just one year old – practically a puppy intern! These days, you’ll usually find me in on Tuesdays, holding court in the gym. I take my role as unofficial "Physiotherapy Assistant" very seriously – whether I’m helping someone practice walking with a lead, providing a calming presence during sessions, or just offering a friendly wag and a cuddle when needed.

I’m often part of therapy sessions for clients who have set goals like walking their own dog again. I’m very polite on the lead, and I’ve got just the right balance of enthusiasm and patience. I can be a little shy when I first meet someone – but once I’ve warmed up, I’ll be by your side like Velcro.

The physio team treat me like royalty; I spend so much time around the team and the clients that I feel like part of the STEPS family.

At Home:

When I’m not hard at work being everyone’s favourite four-legged colleague, I’m at home living the life of luxury. I keep my calm and gentle temperament, but don’t be fooled – I do enjoy a good case of the zoomies now and then.

I’m a bit of a foodie (home-cooked meals are my weakness), and I’ve got a toy collection I’m very proud of.

One of my favourite things to do is run with Sian – we’ve even taken part in a few Cani-X races together. I might look elegant, but I’ve got some serious speed when I need it. Whether we’re racing or just enjoying a morning jog, I’m in my element when I’m by her side.
