Bethan graduated in 2014 with a degree Fine Art from Loughborough University. After teaching abroad she applied to be a Rehabilitation Assistant at STEPS. During this time, Bethan learnt various practical skills and built a good foundation of medical knowledge. This, along with her experience delivering art groups, inspired Bethan to complete a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy. She continued to work part time at STEPS and in December 2020 qualified as an Occupational Therapist.
Bethan’s first qualified role was at Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust, working on acute medical, surgical, and respiratory wards. Here, Bethan learnt specific skills in assessments, energy conservation techniques and activity analysis. Despite enjoying this challenging role, Bethan was excited to return her passion of neuro rehab and applied to re-join the STEPS team. Bethan is looking forward to working closely with clients, to enable them to achieve their desired goals and feel positively about their future.
When not at work, Bethan likes, print making and painting.
