Jose joined the STEPS team in July 2019 as a Rehabilitation Assistant and later progressed to the Therapy team as a Therapy Assistant in January 2021.
Before beginning his career in care, Jose was a professional footballer in Portugal. After moving to the UK, he worked for Cadbury before stepping into his first role within the care sector. Since then, he has become an invaluable and much‑loved member of the team.
Jose is a qualified Sports Therapist and Rehabilitation professional, and he is currently studying at the University of Derby, where he is soon to qualify as a Physiotherapist.
Outside of work, Jose enjoys playing football with friends and proudly supporting his son at his matches. He also keeps active by going to the gym. He loves family holidays, with the Algarve being his favourite destination.
