Amy qualified as a nurse in 2010 and, following experience in respiratory medicine and critical care, discovered her passion for neuro-rehabilitation. She has since developed extensive experience across a range of neuro-rehabilitation roles in Birmingham, including working within the NHS Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit (INRU) and as part of the spinal cord injury team at Birmingham’s Major Trauma Centre.

Having recently moved to Sheffield, Amy is delighted to join STEPS, where she can bring together her experience and enthusiasm for both brain and spinal cord injury rehabilitation.

Outside of work, Amy enjoys making the most of the great outdoors, whether cajoling her toddlers up hills in the Peak District or taking part in open-water swimming. She is also a keen tuba player and hopes to join a local brass band, perhaps even bringing some festive musical fun to STEPS over Christmas!
