Annette has worked with Jules and Toria in the year prior to STEPS opening and during the first year. She has a wealth of experience working as a Case Manager and has provided assessment and preparation of costed case management reports for clients who have suffered traumatic injury.
She has many years experience working closely with multi-disciplinary teams at all levels ensuring co-ordination of professionals and a holistic approach is taken.
As a qualified social worker with over twenty years experience, she has provided specialist services for clients and families with life changing and life limiting conditions and has worked within hospital, hospice and community settings, providing client centred assessments, carers assessments, care plans, risk assessments, and commissioning of services to provide ongoing support. She is familiar with statutory services funding streams and has a sound knowledge of Continuing Healthcare Assessments. She is experienced in the recruitment, supervision and management of staff to support clients.
She has worked jointly with specialist prosthetic company’s undertaking assessments of amputee clients and providing recommendations for rehabilitation.
Annette is empathic and approachable and has a good understanding of the needs of clients and families acting as a sound advocate. Annette is skilled in working within complex situations.
Annette has post qualifying certificates in social work and practice teaching and a certificate in counselling skills. She has also completed a number of other courses in rehabilitation and likes to continue her professional development.
She is registered with the Health and Care Professional Council (HCPC) and a member of both the Case Management Society UK (CMSUK) and the Spinal Injuries Association (SIA).
Annette joined the STEPS board of Directors in June 2021 as Quality Assurance Director she works closely with the Senior Management team to support and advise on best practice and continuous improvement.
When not at work, Annette enjoys being outdoors and can be found walking in the Peak District
