Emelia qualified as a State registered Nurse in February 1998 where she worked in Ghana in one of the major hospitals in Accra Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra Ghana. She then moved to the United Kingdom in May 2001 completed an Adaptation Program for three months with Sheffield Teaching Hospital and secured a Job on the Stroke Rehabilitation ward at the Royal Hallamshire hospital. She worked at the Royal Hallamshire for 15 years. During her time there, she worked as a Stroke Specialist Nurse.
Emelia embarked on several courses whiles working on the ward such as Stroke evidence base practice with the University of Sheffield to abreast herself and acquire knowledge to do the job effectively. Emelia then moved to Community Nursing in 2015 where she worked as a community nurse delivering wide range of treatments to patients in their own environment.
During her spare time, Emelia enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, travelling, doing church work, and helping people. She also enjoys cooking, running, listening to Gospel music, and watching documentaries.
