Jessika joined the STEPS team in December 2017 and developed her role through completing the Advanced Diploma in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy in 2019 which
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy combines psychotherapy with hypnosis in a collaborative way. It incorporates positive psychology principles and practices to help clients instigate change by constructing solutions rather than focusing on problems.
Jessika is also trained in NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming), Mindfulness for Trauma and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) to help clients gain skills and resources they need to make positive changes in their lives.
Sessions are tailored to each client and bespoke recordings/scripts created to make clients feel comfortable and safe and provide relief from depression, anxiety, panic attacks, PTSD, sleep disorders, chronic pain/nerve pain, phantom limb pain, low self-esteem and confidence.
Together Jessika and Danyal (acupuncturist at STEPS) have been developing the therapeutic approach of Acuhypno, a combination of acupuncture and hypnosis. While predominantly used for pain management the approach has the potential of providing widespread relief to a number of symptoms. This led to the opportunity to present a poster at the World Neurorehabilitation Conference 2024 in Vancouver.
Jessika enjoys reading, yoga, spending time on her allotment and beach holidays with her family.
