Karol’s was raised in a Polish village on his families farm, on which they grow all of their own produce. From a young age, Karol would always help out in the kitchen to cook the family meals. Karol attended chef school for four years, whilst earning catering experience in taverns, restaurants and abroad during summer school holidays which in Poland are two months long.

Karol worked across Europe in well-established 5-star and 4-star hotels with restaurant, banqueting and spa facilities where he excelled in his role in kitchen. He then went back to Poland to attend university studying far eastern cultures. After that he came to London where he worked in a Japanese restaurant ten-minute walk away from Buckingham Palace.

Karol then got the opportunity to work in well-know 4-star hotel in Sheffield where he helped with improving their organizational standards. He then worked in the top private hospital in Sheffield as Chef de Partie and helped achieve “outstanding” score with CQC.

Karol is now exited to be starting his journey at STEPS and he is looking forward to working with a different type of catering approach.

When not at work, Karol likes to read fantasy literature, play video games and listen to classical music.

Fun fact: In his life Karol learned English, German, Russian, Japanese and Chinese, but now he speaks only his native Polish and English fluently.
