Katie qualified as an Occupational Therapist from Sheffield Hallam University in 2002. Working in Sheffield Teaching Hospitals, Katie developed experience in General Medicine, Orthopaedics and Neurology before specialising in Spinal Cord Injury. Katie left the hospital setting in 2009 and worked for a large care company, setting up care packages and supporting clients with complex neuro-disabilities in their own homes. At the same time she was a Guest Lecturer in Spinal Cord Injury at Sheffield Hallam University on the under graduate Occupational Therapy Course.
Katie was invited to work as a Senior Case Manager in 2012, supporting clients through their catastrophic injury litigation and beyond.
Having had case managed clients come to STEPS, Katie has experienced the positive impact on their rehabilitation and is excited to become part of the team.
When not at work, Katie enjoys running and walking her dog Patterjack Snoop.
