Kostas qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2014 and completed an MSc in Advancing Physiotherapy Practice at Sheffield Hallam University in 2017.

Following that worked as an inpatient and outpatient physiotherapist at a private hospital in Huddersfield, treating patients with a variety of orthopedics, neuro, and musculoskeletal conditions. On 2019, started working at Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trusts at the acute elderly/medical wards initially and then at the stroke and neuro rehabilitation unit of the Trust.

Kostas always had a special interest in neurological rehabilitation and on 2020 he moved to STEPS where he focused on assessing and treating various individuals with neurological conditions and disorders that impact the functioning of the brain, spinal cord and nerves such as stroke, brain injury and spinal cord injury.

Being aware of the benefits of the Robotic equipment as a tool to enhance neurorehabilitation, Kostas had the opportunity to be involved with the Rehab Hub at STEPS where he was able to assess and implement the technologies therapeutically with positive outcomes for individuals with upper and lower limb dysfunctions due to a spinal cord injury, stroke or brain injury.

When not at work: Kostas enjoys travelling and cycling.

  • Utilizing, Evaluating and modifying treatments plans with Robotic -assisted equipment of STEPS in order to measure progress, improve function and enhance recovery.
