Sheffield born and bred – Lee completed an apprenticeship in a foundry as a wood pattern maker, making wooden models for sand moulding in the casting industry.

He then went travelling before settling in Sydney, Australia and worked for a yacht building company.

Upon returning to the UK, Lee worked for a company building interactive models and exhibits for the museum and leisure industry which included working worldwide and nationally. He worked on projects in museums and visitor attractions in America, the middle east, Asia, Europe, and Scandinavia.

Lee’s favourite part about working as part of the maintenance team at STEPS is the variety – no two days are the same!

His hobbies include rugby, walking, the great outdoors, travelling and Guinness.
