Sally joined the STEPS team in February 2025. She started her speech therapy journey as a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant in 2006, working in Sheffield across both a stroke rehabilitation, and a brain injury rehabilitation setting. Sally then qualified from The University of Sheffield in 2010 and has since worked across a range of acute and community settings, specialising in stroke rehabilitation. She has worked extensively across the Sheffield stroke pathway, and has a passion for a holistic, patient centred approach to the rehabilitation of communication and swallowing impairment. Sally takes great value in meeting patients with their friends and loved ones to support them on their rehabilitation journey.

Outside of work Sally spends a lot of her time pursuing complimentary, holistic therapies such as meditation, sound baths, yoga and reflexology. She qualified as an aromatherapist and massage therapist in 2021. Sally also has 3 young boys and spends a lot of time watching them in various football and martial arts competitions.
