Sally graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in 1999, following which she moved to Manchester working through a variety of clinical areas as a junior physiotherapist. She quickly developed a love of treating people with neurological conditions and ended up at Macclesfield hospital in Cheshire working in the specialist neuro outpatients department for over 12 years. Here she treated a wide variety of conditions including stroke, Parkinson’s, Multiple sclerosis, vestibular conditions and many others. She has developed her knowledge of functional electrical stimulation, and exercise and balance therapy over the years and completed advanced Bobath courses.
She relocated back to Sheffield in 2016 and began a stint working in the acute stroke services of the NHS followed by treating people post stroke and those with Parkinson’s at the assessment and rehab unit. This led her on to develop her own private practice in the community treating adults with long term neurological conditions.
Sally joined the team at STEPS in 2022 after deciding she wanted to work within an interdisciplinary team and utilise her skills in the more intensive rehabilitation setting.
When not working she is busy managing her 4 daughters and 2 Labradors. She loves nothing more than a run in the peaks and a spot of yoga.
