After working for South Yorkshire Police for 33 years, Jo decided that she was more than ready for a new professional direction and challenge.
She had several roles within SYP, the most recent being as an 'Overseas Visitors Registration Officer' where she had contact with people from up to 32 different countries who had come to the UK to study or work. Jo really enjoyed meeting people from countries such as China, Iran, Syria, Turkey and many more.
Out of work, Jo has a husband, 2 grown up children (still at home!) and 2 wonderful dogs who are fantastic companions and accidental therapists . Her son who is turning 28 has complex special needs and is very dependant on her. She loves taking the dogs to Ecclesall Woods for gentle exercise and meeting other dogs as well.
