After leaving school Sarah started her Catering career at The King's Head Beefeater then moved onto Hallam Towers Hotel, both as a Waitress. After Sarah's Son started school she joined the catering team at the school. In 1998 Sarah moved into her first healthcare position and joined the Thornbury Hospital in Sheffield as a Ward Host and after 4 years she was promoted to Catering Supervisor.
13 years after joining the Thornbury, Sarah had a career change and decided to move away from catering, she took a position at Royal Mail as a Postwomen and spent 3 years pounding the streets in all weathers! Sarah then moved back to her original career and joined the Claremont Hospital in Sheffield as Catering Supervisor.
Sarah has now joined the STEPS team in a new role as Hospitality Host. Sarah works closely with the kitchen team to make sure our clients have all their refreshment and meal needs met. Sarah is likely to be the person to take your food order and keeps are 4 upstairs kitchens spic and spam and stocked with tea, coffee, milk, bread cereal butter and preserves etc.
When not at work, Sarah enjoys visiting countries around the world, going for walks in Derbyshire with her Son and his Cockerpoo Freddie. During the football season Sarah supports Sheffield Wednesday, which almost always guarantees disappointment!
