Tayla qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2018 at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. She gained practical experience during her years of studying in a variety of settings. She completed her community service year at a provincial hospital in the North West province of South Africa. She was part of a therapy team treating inpatients and outpatients with various neurological, musculoskeletal, psychiatric, acute and chronic conditions.

In 2020 she then joined a private practice treating paediatric clients, as well as adults with neurological difficulties. Additionally, she also worked as a locum OT at a rehabilitation centre seeing long term inpatients with various conditions. Tayla has always had a special interest in neurology, paediatrics as well as rehabilitation.

Tayla decided she needed a new adventure and wanted to spread her wings abroad. Tayla joined the STEPS therapy team in April 2021.

When not at work Tayla can be found running, in the gym, travelling, and enjoying some good food.
