Toby joined STEPS Rehabilitation in 2023 as a member of the Kitchen Team. As of January 2025, he has been working as a dedicated product designer, serving as Head of Design at STEPS Inclusive Design. Toby studied Maths, Art, and Product Design at A-level and graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in 2022 with a BSc in Product Design.

After finishing university, Toby worked in product manufacturing for Beastmaker, a well-known climbing brand. In 2024, he set up his own product manufacturing company with two former work colleagues and Olympian Shauna Coxsey MBE. They strive to make unique and novel aluminium climbing holds and training devices, the first of this kind on the market.

In 2025, Jules and Toria founded STEPS Inclusive Design. Toby has taken head of this new business area in which they hope to design, develop and manufacture new medical products that align with STEPS ethos and branding with access to world-class feedback at every stage. Through STEPS Inclusive Design, they also offer a bespoke design service to clients, a truly unique service provided using state-of-the-art technology and equipment in-house.
