STEPS Rehabilitation is delighted to welcome Katie Ryall as Admissions and Referrals Coordinator. Katie will play an important role in handling the initial inquiries and referrals to STEPS. She’ll be responsible for assessing and gathering information about a client, their condition, and what they are looking for from their rehabilitation.
Katie is a familiar name and face to many who work in the field of catastrophic injury. For the past 10 years she has worked as a Senior Case Manager, supporting clients through their serious injury litigation. As a qualified Occupational Therapist, she has a wealth of experience in General Medicine, Orthopaedics and Neurology, and specialised for many years in Spinal Cord Injury.
“Every rehabilitation journey is unique” says Katie. “Supporting clients and their families as they grapple with the reality of what has happened to them is a huge privilege. It can be a confusing and emotional time for people in so many ways but giving clients choices and hope through their rehabilitation is both empowering and rewarding. STEPS offers clients a unique opportunity to help them rebuild their lives and I’m looking forward to playing a part in that.”
