Hours of work: 15 hours including evenings & weekends


Purpose of the Role:

The Kitchen Assistant at STEPS provides support to our team of Chefs with cleaning and maintaining our high standards. They also provide high quality service to our clients, aligned with STEPS values and behaviours and working as a key member of the inter-disciplinary team.

Specific Responsibilities

  • To carry out all cleaning duties allocated to you in accordance with the cleaning schedules and standards, as directed by the Head Chef.
  • Ensure all orders are put away promptly and stock is rotated
  • Pot washing
  • To dispose of all refuse carefully
  • To keep the café area stocked with supplies, clean and tidy.
  • To keep the café area clean and tidy at all times
  • Serving in the café during mealtimes
