While this might appear to be a minor technicality around a long-standing core brand value for STEPS, registering the trademark is important. It ensures that when clients, referrers, and sector peers see “Reimagining Rehabilitation” associated with specialist therapy services, equipment, devices, and training, they can immediately recognise it as a mark of the quality and values that define STEPS.
For STEPS, Reimagining Rehabilitation captures how we think about recovery: a commitment to continually challenging and improving how rehabilitation is delivered, bringing together clinical expertise, person-centred care and innovation. There has never been a more exciting time to be involved in neurorehabilitation. The possibilities for rehabilitation are evolving rapidly, driven by advances in technology and groundbreaking research, and STEPS is committed to remaining at the forefront of these developments as seen by our growing presence at global rehabilitation conferences.
Our close attention to the advances being made globally includes identifying the cutting-edge technologies available and introducing new devices that can be used at STEPS as part of an individual’s rehabilitation programme. We work alongside industry-leading partners such as Fourier Intelligence and Thor Assistive Technologies to introduce new devices such as the MyoPro Mark II, used for upper limb function.

That’s why every programme at STEPS is entirely bespoke and care is delivered through an interdisciplinary approach. We bring together a broad range of therapies alongside specialist on-site facilities, including the RehabHub robotic suite and the VR Mindpod room, to create a truly personalised approach.
Each client is supported by specialist rehabilitation nurses and benefits from a carefully designed combination of therapies—traditional therapy, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, Speech and Language therapy, and psychology. Alongside creative arts therapies- neurological music therapy, art psychotherapy and dance therapy. In addition, we also include complementary therapies such as acupuncture and solution-focused hypnotherapy.

By combining therapies—such as speech and language therapy with neurologic music therapy (NMT), or physiotherapy with NMT—we create innovative, joined-up sessions that unlock outcomes not achievable through a single approach alone.
