Stuart joined the STEPS team in September 2026. Stuart is a graduate of the University of Sheffield School of Architecture, where he completed both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree. After spending time working in the architecture industry, he moved into a range of roles across hospitality and furniture design before making a career change into care work in 2025.

In 2025, Stuart pivoted into care work, supporting Autistic adults with learning disabilities from a day centre in Sheffield. This work sparked a passion for helping people in their daily lives and he finds fulfilment in the work that was lacking in his of roles.

Stuart brings a calm and caring presence to his role at STEPS and is keen to build on the skills and experience he has developed throughout his previous roles, while continuing to learn and develop within a specialist rehabilitation environment.

Outside of work, Stuart enjoys spending time in his workshop near Bramall Lane, where he makes objects, art prints and furniture for his home. He is also a keen music and football fan, and enjoys walks in the woods, swimming, dancing and attending live music events. Having lived in Sheffield since 2007, Stuart has built a wide circle of friends and enjoys making the most of the city’s vibrant social and cultural scene.
