Following an accident resulting in serious orthopaedic injuries a period of residential rehabilitation is usually recommended in a non hospital facility. This is at the point when you will be medically stable and able to engage in a rehabilitation programme.
Orthopaedic Rehabilitation at STEPS Rehabilitation
Your stay at STEPS can be funded by your local NHS Clinical Commissioning Group, or you might have an insurance claim if your injury is the result of an accident. If you have a claim, your case manager can make a referral to STEPS and then a member of our clinical team will arrange for an assessment to be carried out either at STEPS or in the hospital. If you are unsure if you have a claim we can advise you.
At STEPS we provide residential rehabilitation programmes for clients from 16 years old.
