Rehabilitation

We have created a unique environment that enables people to access a wide range of therapies, specialist robotic and VR rehabilitation equipment, and medical specialists all under one roof. This includes access to Consultants in rehabilitation medicine; spinal injuries, amputations, anesthetics, plastic surgery, and pain management. We have a team of clinical professionals, comprising physiotherapists; occupational therapists; speech and language therapists; neuro-psychologists; neurologic music therapists; prosthetic and orthotic specialists, and nurses experienced in complex care. Our specialists work as part of an interdisciplinary team, combining their expertise to provide individualised rehabilitation programmes to clients who have suffered serious injuries and debilitating neurological illnesses.

We provide residential rehabilitation and someday rehabilitation, we also offer an active respite programme where people need to review and reinvigorate their rehabilitation programmes. The mixture of rehabilitation and care packages available at STEPS makes our facility hugely accessible.

We are not a long-term facility, the average length of stay with us varies depending on the injury or condition. The maximum length of stay would usually be no longer than 12 months however we can consider longer stays with us.

Collaboration

We believe it is important to care for not only our clients but their families too, we provide advice and education about their injuries or conditions. We work alongside other professionals and organisations helping our clients, this includes the NHS, solicitors, barristers, case managers, insurance companies, prosthetic and orthotic specialists, Sheffield universities and experts in rehabilitation technology.

Mission

Our mission is to achieve the very highest levels of recovery by providing first-class therapies that are delivered by a specialised and motivated team of professionals and carers.
