You have your date of admission... now what?
On arrival you will be shown around with your family/friends. In your room you will have a wardrobe, a desk/dressing table, a bedside locker and a bed of course! If you require a specialist mattress this will be arranged ready for your admission. Every bedroom has an ensuite wet room and TVs will be available for those who would like one. We will provide towels for your room and the hydrotherapy pool, if there is anything you forget, don’t worry we can arrange for it to be brought by a friend or relative or we can pop to one of supermarkets just around the corner to get what ever you need. (See the packing list below)
Our wonderful chefs will be preparing your meals freshly each day and will come and chat with you when you arrive about your likes/dislikes or intolerances etc. We have three main meals in the day plus a snack mid morning if you need it to keep you going, freshly made smoothies are made daily for an afternoon snack. You will be eating your meals in the café or in one of our smaller kitchens and sometimes be making it yourself so you don’t get too used to not having to cook!
You will receive a timetable for the week with all your therapy sessions and free time. We can email this to you or print you a copy.
On admission, we will give you a pendant to wear when you arrive, this is our nurse call system which means you can get help when ever you need it.
There will be lots of opportunity to socialise in the evenings if we haven’t exhausted you in the day. This is optional of course. You can enjoy our music room which has a piano or use the cafe space which has a pool table, table tennis, air hockey, board games and a TV. There is also another small lounge to relax in with visitors or on your own.
