Becca joined the STEPS SLT team after returning to the profession following completion of her Master’s degree in Speech and Language Therapy. She graduated from the University of Essex in 2023 and began her career working in community settings, supporting adults with learning disabilities, progressive conditions, and a range of complex needs.
During her previous role as a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant, Becca developed experience in person-centred, community-based practice. She has worked with individuals using a variety of communication approaches, including Makaton signing, and has supported those with complex and traumatic life experiences. As part of her role, Becca also completed dysphagia training, which sparked a particular passion for supporting individuals to eat and drink safely.
Becca is dedicated to helping people reach their full potential and is committed to delivering therapy that is meaningful, engaging, and tailored to each individual.
In her spare time, Becca can be found cheering on the Sheffield Steelers Ice Hockey team or planning her next holiday.
