Helena is an experienced yoga teacher with over 15 years of full-time teaching experience before the pandemic, dedicated to helping people improve their physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. Alongside yoga, she is a qualified Thai Yoga Massage practitioner, combining assisted stretching, massage techniques, and acupressure to promote relaxation, mobility, and overall health.
Committed to continuous professional development, Helena has undertaken specialist training in yoga for mental health, meditation, mindfulness, breathing techniques, and has recently completed Advanced Practitioner training in Neuro Massage. These additional qualifications enable her to provide a truly holistic approach to health, rehabilitation, and wellbeing.
Earlier in her career, Helena worked as a personal assistant supporting a mother and daughter with complex disabilities. This experience inspired her to establish Sheffield's first chair yoga class, creating an inclusive space for people who were unable to access traditional yoga sessions.
Helena joined STEPS in 2020 as a Rehabilitation Assistant and now works part-time as a Complementary Therapist. She combines her extensive knowledge and therapeutic skills to support clients' rehabilitation and wellbeing through weekly chair yoga classes, relaxation groups, massage therapy, and specialist neuro massage treatments.
Outside of her professional role, Helena enjoys painting intricate mandalas, exploring creative crafts, and delivering training programmes in yoga teaching and massage, sharing her passion and knowledge with the next generation of practitioners.
