At STEPS Rehabilitation, we’re delighted to add the Bioness L300 Go to our suite of rehabilitation technologies.
Designed for individuals with foot drop, the Bioness device delivers functional electrical stimulation (FES) to assist with muscle movement and promote a more natural gait. This can be life-changing for those with neurological conditions such as stroke, MS, cerebral palsy, TBI, or spinal cord injury, as well as clients recovering from polytrauma or orthopaedic injury with secondary muscle weakness.
Why Bioness?
The Bioness L300 Go Lower Cuff is a discreet and comfortable device that enhances movement while supporting rehabilitation goals. Clinically proven to improve range of motion and reduce fall risk, it helps to rebuild confidence and promote greater independence during daily life. The device utilises 3D motion detection, with a learning algorithm that adapts to the individual's requirements during walking and delivers the stimulation when required, regardless of their speed or the terrain to be navigated.
Key benefits include:
- Walk farther, faster, longer
- Reduce the risk of falls
- Comfortable, soft and flexible design
- No gait sensor required – works barefoot
- Easy to put on and take off
- Potential alternative to a traditional AFO
Assessment and Use
Jamie Storey and Scott Pearson are fully trained to assess suitability for the Bioness device and set up the optimal program for a smooth walking pattern. Clients can trial the L300 Go during therapy sessions at STEPS, as part of their personalised rehabilitation programme.
