Members of the STEPS Rehabilitation team swapped their uniform for glitz and glam to attend the inaugural Sheffield Cares Excellence Awards 2025, at Sheffield City Hall Ballroom on Thursday 13th February. It was a fantastic evening recognising outstanding achievements in care and support across Sheffield, and within the STEPS Rehabilitation team.

We are absolutely delighted for Zoe Johnson, our Nurse Associate, who was recognised as a winner for her exceptional dedication and compassion. This well-deserved award is a testament to the incredible impact she has on the lives of our clients, and we couldn’t be prouder.

A huge congratulations also to our founders, Jules Shiel-Boulger and Toria Chan, who received a certificate of recognition for their visionary leadership and commitment to transforming neurorehabilitation in the UK. Their passion continues to inspire our entire team.

While we may not have taken home the Team of the Year award, being named runner-up is a fantastic achievement and a reflection of the teamwork, dedication, and compassionate care that defines STEPS Rehabilitation. We are incredibly proud of our team and the work they do every day.

It was truly an honour to be in a room filled with so many dedicated individuals working in the Sheffield care sector. Hearing their stories—especially those of the incredible young carers, whose resilience and dedication moved us all to tears.

A huge congratulations to all the winners and nominees. It was a wonderful evening celebrating excellence in care, and we feel privileged to have been a part of it.
