“From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed. The home is beautifully decorated and thoughtfully supplied to the highest standard — a reflection of the same care and professionalism that defines the rehabilitation work at STEPS. Every detail has been considered so that you don’t have to worry about a thing, which makes a world of difference when you are already carrying so much.

The house is immaculately cleaned every week by the wonderful staff at STEPS, who show the same warmth and kindness here as they do within the centre.

The location is perfect — just a one-minute walk from STEPS, which meant I could be with my son in a moment’s notice. I was able to visit him every day, even several times a day when needed, and meet with his team quickly if required. It gave me peace of mind that I was close and available.

The area is also ideal for rest and recovery. A supermarket is nearby if you prefer to eat in, but there are also many restaurants within walking distance. There are beautiful green spaces and wooded paths where you can go for long walks to clear your head — something I found incredibly calming.

I’m deeply grateful for this home-away-from-home. It provided me not only with physical comfort but with emotional reassurance during a challenging time. It’s a testament to the holistic, compassionate approach STEPS takes in supporting both individuals in rehabilitation and their families.”
