STEPS Rehabilitation® has been invited by Fourier Rehab to deliver two workshops at the Fourier Rehab GReAT Summit 2026 (Global Rehabilitation and Assistive Technology Network), which takes place from 13-15 May 2026 at Fourier’s Shanghai Headquarters. The team is being represented by Lead Physiotherapist, Jamie Storey, and Founder & Clinical Director, Toria Chan.
The GReAT Summit is a leading international event attended by leaders in rehabilitation science, assistive technology, and clinical innovation. Returning to Shanghai under this year’s theme of Infinite Care, the event spotlights the latest breakthroughs in assistive technologies and connected care ecosystems that extend beyond clinics into homes and everyday life. Alongside keynote speakers and hospital tours, the programme features live product demonstrations, curated networking and opportunities for global research collaboration.
Sharing Clinical Experience on the International Stage
Both workshops draw directly on day-to-day clinical practice at our purpose-built specialist neurological and complex trauma rehabilitation centre in Sheffield, where Fourier Intelligence’s technology, as part of the STEPS RehabHub™, is integrated into intensive, person-centred rehabilitation programmes delivered by our specialist interdisciplinary team.
The first workshop, Enhancing Rehabilitation with ArmMotus™ EMU, explores how the device, has been embedded and used in our clients’ upper-limb rehabilitation. The workshop showcases our clinical pathway, from pre-admission assessment and the Rehab Technology Pathway through to treatment formulation and review, and outcome measures. It also features a detailed case study of a client living with a C1 to C4 ASIA D spinal cord injury, whose intensive rehabilitation programme included ArmMotus™ EMU therapy sessions, and who went on to regain functional use of his upper limb. The second workshop, The Clinical Application of the ExoMotus™ M4, explores how dynamic standing and walking with an exoskeleton compares with traditional tilt tables and standing frames, and how the device is used within a rehabilitation plan at STEPS. The workshop covers the clinical benefits of standing and walking, the device’s settings and real-time data feedback, and shares case studies of clients living with spinal cord injury (SCI) and traumatic brain injury (TBI).
A Long-Standing Partnership with Fourier Intelligence
STEPS Rehabilitation has worked in partnership with Fourier Intelligence since July 2022, when the relationship was formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding, co-signed at STEPS when Co-Founders and then Group Deputy CEO of Fourier Intelligence, Zen Koh visited Sheffield.
In 2022, STEPS was already home to the STEPS RehabHub™, the first in the UK installed by Thor Assistive Technologies, Fourier’s UK distributor and sales partner. Since the signing of the MoU the RehabHub™ has continued to evolve, with its suite of leading rehabilitation technologies forming an integral part of STEPS’ intensive rehabilitation programmes for clients living with brain injury, spinal cord injury and complex orthopaedic trauma injuries.
The latest invitation follows Specialist Rehabilitation Occupational Therapist Tayla Brons’ visit to Kuala Lumpur in September 2025, when she was invited by Fourier Rehab to deliver a hands-on ArmMotus™ EMU workshop with the Occupational Therapy Department at Sunway Medical Centre.
